Whitehill and Bordon Eco Town
Whitehill and Bordon Eco-town commissioned a ‘Home Energy Check’ tool as part of a project supported by DECC’s Green Deal Communities Fund. The tool is available to residents on the eco-town’s website and at a local “Eco station”.
Whitehill and Bordon in East Hampshire was awarded Eco-town status in July 2009. As part of this, the town aims to reduce its carbon footprint by encouraging environmentally sustainable design and living. The aim is for the whole town to be “carbon neutral” by 2036. To achieve this, a key strategy is providing energy advice to residents. That’s why the town authorities commissioned a Home Energy Check that would be accessible and engaging, and provide helpful advice on energy efficiency to local people.
The Whitehill and Bordon Eco Town advice tool can be accessed here.
